Hello friends, new album with pictures from the May 1st march in San Francisco is uploaded in the Photos section.
May 1st ? I remember when I was a kid in school , we were all forced to go out in the streets to celebrate communist party and wave to the officials in the tribunes set in the downtown's of every city...wave and smile, make sure you look happy, you don't want your parents to become janitors, do you?
Is that a coincidence they picked this date? Judging from the pictures and reality that was happening there, no way, NO COINCIDENCE THERE !!!
You almost start to wonder, what was that march really about ?

The Tea Party Movement: Why Now??

People keep asking, "Where was the Tea Party when? [Insert this or that affront to the Constitution that occurred during the Bush administration]?"

It?s a legitimate question because there were indeed many affronts to the Constitution during the Bush years and before, so I?ll answer that question. It was simmering.

What is now called the ?Tea Party Movement? has been simmering for years just below the surface of an increasingly collective and Progressive political juggernaut known as the American two party system. Future ?Tea Baggers? felt helpless and hopeless for decades over the choices they were given between candidates that would say anything to get into office and do anything to stay there, while an ever increasing percentage of the electorate became dependant on government subsidies and handouts. Election and re-election became dependant on pandering to those with their hands out, both rich and poor, at the expense of the middle class and the nation?s true producers.

Early organization of the Tea Party Movement was triggered more by the Wall Street bailouts than by actions of the new Obama administration, but that administration feels confident in blatantly stating, in action and word, its Progressive agenda and disregard for the Constitution - partially because of the apparent mandate that brought it to power, causing it to foster a mistaken, though understandable, assumption that a majority of Americans are in favor of its agenda. This administration?s blatancy is also due to its true belief in Progressivism with enough arrogance to think that they know what?s right for America and that the End Justifies the Means, even if that fickle majority of Americans doesn?t agree.

Heretofore hopeless and helpless patriots have thus been jarred to action and what began as a small tax protest has drawn followers across the nation searching for an outlet for their frustrations, a vehicle to fight back, and a Movement that finally gives them voice. The Obama administration is not the primary cause of the Tea Party Movement; it?s simply the catalyst of its growth. The underlying cause is decades of the central government using taxpayer money to buy votes and grow itself beyond proper boundaries as defined by the Constitution. The cause is now, more than anything else, the defense of that Constitution as the Framers intended it to be interpreted.

With very few exceptions, ?Tea Baggers? are not racists, religious fanatics, or ?wing-nuts?. They?re conservative patriots, common citizens of the United States, who have been concerned for years about the path that their beloved country has been traveling, and they finally have a means of expressing their fears and frustrations with hope of being heard.

I would like to address the concern where the April 15th Pleasanton TEA party violated an individual?s freedom of speech and that an apology is in order.

Let me start by saying even God's given right of freedom of speech has limitations. God Himself tells us to let our Yes's be yes and our No's be no, not to lie etc. Would one ever condone the yelling of FIRE! In a crowded area when there was no fire, for the sake of exercising one's free speech? Free speech does not mean reckless abandonment of common sense or give anyone the right to be disruptive at a private event, there are limitations.

Let?s talk about the Good, the Gad and the Ugly.

The Good:

Some facts: The April 15th event was #1. Held on private property; The Alameda County Fair Grounds is privately owned. #2. A fee was paid, which made this a private event, howbeit open to the public. #3 this event was promoted for the sole purpose of allowing political candidates, in a structured organized forum, a venue to present themselves and their political views before the voters.

The organizers of this event planned for counter groups/individuals that had an opposing view point and generously provided a safe visible area to protest and/or have discussion with other individuals. To allow those groups/individuals within the main area of the TEA party event to express their views would have been disruptive and been counter to the purpose of the April 15th TEA party.

We should all say a BIG Thank you to the Pleasanton Police Department. They utilize extensive resources within their own agency as well several outside agencies in the planning and prevention for such a counter disruption. I will not go into lengthy details on those tactics used by such organizations, but preventative and counter measures were in place.

The Bad:

It was public knowledge prior to April 15th there were plans being made and most likely attempts to disrupt and or shut down as many TEA parties as possible by several less conservative groups.

We also know the drive by media has been significantly one sided against ANY conservative group or organization events. They appear to jump at any opportunity to discredit the TEA Party grassroots movement without blinking an eye. Any activity which was not conducive to the April 15th TEA party genre was not acceptable at this event. There are other forums for such protest; this was not one of them. This was not a forum for debate or critique of any candidate from either side of the isle.

The individual in question held a sign which indicated his negative views towards Ms Palin and Barry Soetoro, otherwise known to us as Obama. In the planning meetings of the TEA party it was decided (for a multitude of reasons) such signs did not represent the overall spirit of the April 15th event and would not be allowed.

The owner of this sign was given an explanation why the sign was not appropriate and asked to put it away, stay and enjoy the event.. Let me digress and indicate this person was one of several who eventually was asked to leave for pretty much the same reasons. In the above discussion with all of them it was immediately apparently they were not there to listen to the speakers but to promote an agenda separate and apart from the planning committees venue for this event.

The Ugly:

Going back to the comment related to those groups who planned to manipulate the drive by media for their agenda and or disrupt the TEA party events, provocative signs are sometimes, not all the time, indicators of infiltrators testing the security in place. Its only when you attempt to have meaningful dialog with these people you realize the person has a separate agenda and may not have the TEA parties best interest in mind. All of them voluntarily chose to exit to the designated Free speech area.

I will say in each encounter where we talked with the sign holders, it went pretty much the same. The argument over the violation of the 1st amendment was immediately battered about, and then out came the phone camera, it seemed almost scripted.

I also noticed with each individual we talked with we were triangulated with other people within the crowd using video cameras on us, interesting at best.

It is common for such events to have specific designated areas for both sides to express their opposing viewpoints, usually across the street from one another for obvious safety reasons.

I do not believe in any way anyone's "FREE" speech was violated at this event nor is there an apology due. The event was a success and went as planned.

I was a bit frustrated after watching channel 2's coverage of the tea party by Randy Sandabol. His take, "The tea party goers were primarily older people, white and highly educated". And of course one of the two people he interviewed was not really spot on to answer his questions making the group seem nieve to the actual reasons we all gathered there. Then they attributed the fact that the gathering will actually help the democratic party! My Lord now I remember why I only watch them in the morning for local weather and traffic reports and switch immediatly to Fox! Glenn Beck save me!

It seems they did not stay for more then an hour as I was there from 2-7 and witnessed an influx of tea party supporters funnel through the gates ranging from the older seniors in the begginning to 3:00 when the moms showed up with the kids after school had gotten out. Then around 5 the bussiness persons arrived. Plumbers, construction workers, attorneys...you know the people who cannnot take off of work as they have taxes and bills to pay. But they came even if only for an hour..they came. I guess they could not see them from the helicoptors.

The tea party was awsome. I brought my son (14) as well as his friend as we did last year. They just got back from Spring break middle school trip to Washington DC seeing with thier own eyes our historical monuments and how great this country is. What a great way to highlite there educational experience then attending this tea party. What a cordial crowd, not a bad word spoken just positive comments about the change that's a comin! I met several fellow patriots and we all smiled the whole day. Food was good and the electricity in the air was moving. I brought my mother in law from Hayward ( she missed her weekly bingo to come) She can now brag as she has attended a tea party! Looking forward to our fight and our next gathering keep up the good fight. Stay focused y'all we have a lot of work still to do!

Has this movement been hijacked by the Republican party? This is what I feel from many of the posts here. I'm sorry, that's not change I can believe in. I'm curious to find out if there are others like me who don't trust Palin or really any other Republican. I believe in a real Tea Party movement that has rid itself of the left/right paradigm. Is this going to be a pro-republican party or a movement for real change? Palin? Come on, you must be joking. Please let me know if you feel the way I do and are still going to attend the Tea Party on April 15th. I want to support a real grass roots effort, but most of the time, we the people are just hoodwinked by republican and democrat alike.

See for yourself just how misinformed the media wants you to be. There will be a supervised children fun zone and free parking. This event will have national recognition. Be a part of history on April 15th at Alameda County Fairgrounds.

To wowinthebay: HUH? if you wanted to avoid lunacy and ignorance, why did you move to the bay area ?? Chock full of libtards who promote lunacy and ignorance. I feel I can say this because I am a native and believe me, it has been HELL living in the belly of the liberal beast. Very frustrating for conservatives to live in the bay area ; when , after explaining FACTUAL information to a libtard, their intelligent reply is " Well, I just don't agree". They don't agree to FACTS. So, wowinthebay, you may want to go back to where you came from. This organaization , and Tea Partiers in general, have more credibility than our elected officials, you moron.

I'm bringing three people to the Tea Party affair...As well as my kids and a couple of thier friends. We protested last year in Ptown and they got it! The kids understand why we are there. To instill this passion of government understanding at this age 8th grade and a freshman in college. They know why we were there and wanted to be involved.
My son is just getting back from the 8th grade trip to Washington DC on Friday. What a better way to end his adventure than to party and protest with the Tea Party people.! I suggest everyone bring at least one person. Ask...Last year lots of friends told me they would have gone they did not know how or where to get involved. The feeling in the air will be magical!!! Can't wait!!

Very happy to be involved with you folks. We seem to have one shot left here. If we move any farther left we will all end up drowning. I deciced to get involved at this stage, because I am frightened for my kids and grandkids. I have my first grand child due in June. What kind of America am I leaving for him? My understanding of the Tea Party is that; it is not about republicans or democrats. Its about letting WA know that we do not agree with the direction they are going. A third party could not win, it would just split us even more. We need to learn from the Perot experience.

If the democratic party had a different candidate, perhaps people may elect someone else; but, more likely they will present Obama for a second term. We know we cannot take 8 year of Obama.

We are left with a republican candidate, we hope is not a McCain candidate, but someone different.

I do like Palin, I have read about her and she seems to have an honorable record. I wonder, those folks that state they do not trust Palin, where do they get their information to judge the woman? I think its important before we judge we educate ourselves with the person's record.

We should learn from the Obama election. If folks really knew who he was, who his friends are, his ideology, who helped finance his campaign, I submit most folks would not have elected him. How many people knew that Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez contributed to Obama's presidential campaign?

How about this fellow patriots ? Centralized everything, they're working really fast, not much time till November....

One of the nation's largest labor unions, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), is promoting a plan that will centralize all retirement plans for American workers, including private 401(k) plans, under one new "retirement system" for the United States.

In effect, government pensions for everyone, not unlike the European system and regardless of personal choice.

The SEIU, which was integral to the election of Barack Obama as president, is working with the left-leaning Economic Policy Institute (EPI), and the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, on SEIU's plan, called "the Retirement USA Initiative."

Republicans need to clean up their house as well, makes no sense to defeat the socialists and send the old rino's (like McCain and similar) to Washington. It's a difficult situation, when it comes to it, of course I won't vote left, but I'll feel very sick if we send big government repubs. to DC or local offices. This movement , We the People, need to press on the right with the same passion and persistence as we press on democrats, otherwise it all won't make any difference.
In the meantime, we need to get much much bigger and stronger, so one day when the right fails us again, there would be a real conservative movement to step in.
We all know what the leftists do to us, by now who doesn't see it is really blind, but we need to keep our eyes open and watch the right side even more.
I get your point Heather and I completely understand what you're saying, but right now, I don't think we have a choice (until a lot more people wake up and get involved)

What is the garbage I'm see from Jan. 16th and 19th?
Last April 15th I eagerly opened my paper, The Daily Review, and read every page but found not one word about Tea Party gatherings. Instead, on the front page was one of their never ending ubiquitous illegal alien support articles. I am informing Boxer, Feinstein and all the rest that even the illegal alien vote will not save them during their next elections. John Burton, Chairman of the CA Dem party arrogantly stated that what happened in MA will not happen in CA. I had to tell him he ain't seen nothin' yet! Last April I still managed to get to the Pleansanton gathering and proud to take part. I knew, even then, the movement had only just begun to grow. I am offended and disgusted by the likes of Nancy Pelosi who tells illegal lawbreakers they are "patriotic" and Americans that we are "Un-American"! I see politicians and a president who appear to not like Americans or America! They are not doing the right thing for Americans, they are doing what's right for the party agenda. I will be pleased to see them pack their bags and go home on local, state and federal levels.
